Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan believes that although the end of the standings has weakened, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) may still participate in the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) playoffs. On Monday, October 19, the team led by MS Dhoni was lost to Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven wickets at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Huang Jun posted 125 on the committee, which was almost one-way in the direction of the Royal Team. The Super Kings won three victories in the first 10 games. They are the residents of the wine cellar and they are watching the knockout games. However, Irfan said that given their years of stressful experience, Duny’s soldiers are well equipped to make a comeback.
Pathan says CSK knows how to play cricket for 21-22 years
“If anyone can rebound from seventh or eighth position, it is the CSK team. CSK knows how to deal with players and they make the players very comfortable. I was part of that team in 2015. It all has to do with the players. ”
“This team knows how to play cricket for 21-22 years. In the Chennai League, they run the team in the same way. It’s all about the players. If you go out to perform, we will support you.” He said.
If CSK did not enter the playoffs, it would be the first time the team did not enter the next round after 10 seasons. Even before the game started, after leading scorers Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh withdrew, CSK was hit. But Pathan believes that Dhoni’s leadership can move the Super Kings campaign forward.
“We know that CSK has performed well for many years. This year they encountered Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina’s absence, and many injuries. But we still hope that, just because they have an excellent captain Dhoni, he is on the IPL board. The football game has achieved great success, even if he is currently in this situation, he will lead the team forward.”
CSK next plans to face Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday, October 23.
