IPL 2020: Match 1, Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings – MI’s opening conundrum and their ideal overseas pace attack

IPL 2020

The long-awaited version of the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) will be unveiled on Saturday. Its main competitors are the Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings. IPL’s most successful team will lock the horn at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, which has a large border. The Super Kings will not be served by Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina, and the defending champion will miss Lasith Malinga, who played the last ball of the previous session.

The beginning of MI to the puzzle:
MI coach Mahela Jayawardene confirmed that Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock will start the match as the opener. Unfortunately, for the Mumbai franchise, the highest Rohit and Quinton pairing is very bad, especially in the UAE, where the spinning mill is expected to be the key. In the two recent versions of the IPL, Captain Rohit’s average level of dealing with runners in strong competitions is only 13.3, which is less than half of his average level of the simultaneous pacemaker.

On the other hand, De Kock has averaged 55 and 39.7 in power performance in rhythm and spin since 2018, but his strike rate against slow players is quite poor. South Africa’s blow to the runner was only 106.3, while the blow to the jet stream was 142.9. If the spin dominance reaches its peak, if one is not shielded by the other, then this may reduce MI in the long run. For MI, the best choice to solve this problem is Suryakumar Yadav of Rohit Sharma or Ishan Kishan of Quinton de Kock.

MI’s ideal bowling combination:
The Mumbai Indians are more willing to compete with two overseas pacemakers, which has always been the topic of their championship. Although the development of the game has always been around the turntable, MI signed James Pattinson instead of Lasith Malinga, which surprised everyone, who was added In the overseas pace of Mitchell McClenaghan, Trent Boult and Nathan Coulter-Nile.

McClenaghan (McClenaghan) has been a member of MI since 2015, and Coulter-Nile (Coulter-Nile) has been absent from the league due to injury since the 2017 season. Trent Boult (Trent Boult) is MI’s other pacemaker before the 2020 IPL conference. The left-arm pacemaker seems to be the first choice for the Indians in Mumbai, which is obviously not a wise decision.

Ball scored an average of over 50 in the first six games in IPL history and was hit with economic efficiency of over 10 at the time of death (16-20). McClenaghan has an average ranking of 27 in the IPL Super Games, while Coulter-Nile is below 7 in the top 15 rankings. Therefore, the pairing of McClenaghan and Coulter-Nile should be fruitful for the MI team.

Can CSK stick to it?
The main threat that the Chennai Super Kings will face on Saturday will be the strong performance of the Mumbai Indians among the desperadoes. Players like Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard were at the forefront of the previous competition. Especially Hardik (Hardik), his strike rate is 196.7, in the last five games with an average score of 37.1. Although the track is not good for him, Pollard just had a proper warm-up in CPL.

In the past few seasons, CSK has performed well in terms of death, and Deepak Chahar has performed well during this period, performing well in 2019 when the economy is under eight years old. Like every season, Dwayne Bravo’s economic growth rate in IPL 2019 exceeds 8.5, but the first game can be replaced by Lungi Ngidi. The South African player did not participate in the 2019 season, but when he played in 2018, he only conceded 68 goals, played 66 goals and died in four goals.
