Australian ticket inspector Ben Dunk said he hopes to make Lahore Qalandars fans proud and to put a smile on people’s faces at this difficult time to help him. The team won the trophy for the first time.
The 33-year-old Australian said in an interview with Earth News that he is full of hope for Lahore’s success in the sixth Pakistan Super League (PSL).
When asked how eager he is for this year’s game, he said: “I’m really excited.”
“The accumulation is very intense. We had a two-day training, and obviously, it was a bit tricky to operate within the pandemic. But it was good to be here today to participate in the first game of the game for us and win on the board. .”
The aggressive cricket player elaborated on the difficulties. Faced with the players due to the prevalence and restrictions of the biosecurity bubble, he said that staying in a hotel room and waiting for the bus to get off has become difficult.
“I think it’s extremely difficult for players who are currently traveling around the world in a biosafety bubble. Although we are lucky to play cricket, it does become very energy-intensive. It’s just that you can’t be in your hotel room. Tour the city or swim in the pool, or just sit in your own room and do other things waiting for the cricket room,” he said.
“People all over the world are doing very, very difficult things, and we feel very honored. So, I don’t want to complain too much. But I think since last year’s PSL finals, I have had five to six days of isolation or isolation. Therefore, there is indeed a price to pay,” the Australian cricket player added.
However, Ben Dunk made it clear that this will not affect his game in PSL, and he hopes to perform well in this game like all his teammates.
He said that for Lahore Kalandas, the positive side is that most of the players who contributed to last year’s good performance were retained by the team.
“Our combination is really strong. In addition to last season’s Rashid Khan (Rashid Khan) and a few others, we also have a combination similar to last season. Therefore, what was successful for us last year is expected to happen again this year. Success for us.” He said.
Dunk said that last year’s game plan and the style of play used by the team will keep them in good shape.
He said: “We just have to continue to maintain this momentum. We are very close, but unfortunately, we may not have the best game in the final. We are in second place, but I hope we can do it this time. better.”
The Australian cricket player looked back at the best 99 games of his career last year, instead of Qalandars’s game against Karachi Kings, he said his team’s victory is more important than scoring this century, and it will be the case again.
“I really want to reach three numbers. But what is more important for me is that the team wins, just like I did when I got 99 that night. It is more important to win and get 100. So I hope I have a chance to get 100. , But more importantly, I have the opportunity to contribute to the team’s victory.” He said.
Dunk admits that this year is a difficult one, but hopes that the Lahore team can put a lot of smiles on the faces of the fans and make them proud.
