Lahore Qalandars opt to bowl first against Islamabad United – PSL 2021
In the 15th match of the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), which has resumed after a three-month delay, Lahore Qalandars will bowl first against Islamabad United.
The teams will go head-to-head for the first time in PSL 2021.
Before the tournament was halted, Islamabad United had won three out of four matches and was above Lahore Qalandars based on Net Run Rate (NRR).

Shadab Khan said to News last week that United would try to continue the momentum from the last games since results were out of their hands and they were not worried about them.
Shadab promised, “Efforts are in our hands, and we’ll leave no stone unturned.”.
According to the skipper, the team wants to win the first match against Lahore Qalandars and sustain that momentum moving forward.
As a result of the return of Munro and the addition of Brandon King and Usman Khawaja, the captain said, “we have a good combination.”.
Qalandars skipper Sohail Akhtar said he was confident that his side will continue its momentum when they return to the UAE to play the remaining PSL matches.
After being asked about his PSL targets, he replied, “We will continue as we left off.”.
Before the league was suspended, Qalandars were in good form and had six points after three of their four matches.
Akhtar believes Qalandars’ smooth sailing will not be affected by the halt.
We are in good shape and have all the ingredients required for success in T20 cricket. “Side with good bowling action do well in leagues around the world, and we have the best bowling attack as well as good batsmen,” the captain had said.
