Islamabad United’s innings – PSL 7
Some tough hitting from Islamabad United helped them hand the 230-point goal to the Quetta Gladiators.
Half-tons from Paul Stirling (58), Colin Munro, and Azam Khan helped improve the scoring, although Alex Hales was sent back to the pavilion earlier in the game.
Gladiators captain Sarfaraz Ahmed had United in the bat after winning the pitch, but the decision was a daunting one for his side as United’s batsmen have been battered from the start Go all out.
United’s opener Colin Munro had a purely entertaining knock of 72 with five sixes, while Azam Khan had six big sixes in his first game Scored 65 as they both hit Shahid Afridi all over the park.
Afridi was Quetta’s most expensive bowler as he conceded 67 runs in four overs, but the clean bowler was the dangerous-looking Azam.
All Gladiator bowlers were smashed except spinner Mohammad Nawaz who took two wickets in four overs for 32 overs.
