PSL 2020 Qualification scenarios
The berth securing a berth in the 2020 Pakistan Super League (PSL) semifinals will be in full swing today-the last day of the round-robin.
Although the Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans have determined their place in the last four games, the three teams-Lahore Callandals, Quetta Gladiator and Peshawar Zalmi-scramble The remaining two places.
Lahore Callandar will play Multan Sultan in Lahore for the final league match. Quetta Gladiators will fight the Karachi Kings in the evening at the National Stadium.
Peshawar, who has played in all league games, has a net operating rate of 9 points, which is enough to put them ahead of the Quetta Gladiators.
If Lahore defeats Multan today, they will be eligible for the semifinals, in which case Peshawar will have to wait until late at night to know the results of Quetta Karachi. If Karachi defeats Quetta, Peshawar will be eligible to play.
For Quetta, if Lahore wins the qualification against Multan Sultans, a victory alone is not enough. They must defeat the Kings significantly in order to increase the net operating rate to defeat Peshawar Zalmi.
If Murtan Sultan defeats Lahore Callandas in the afternoon, Zalmi will confirm his place in the semi-finals without any further waiting, and Lahore will have to wait for King Quetta’s result, Hope the king defeats the gladiator.
If Karachi defeats Quetta, then Lahore will be eligible to play.
For the Quetta Gladiator, in this case, simply defeating Karachi would be enough to knock Lahore out and advance to the semifinals.
