Shoaib Akhtar floats Pak-India series idea to fund coronavirus relief efforts

pak vs ind series

Pace legend Shoaib Akhtar said on Wednesday that Pakistan and India will conduct three ODI events in order to raise funds for the two countries, and these two countries are working hard to curb the coronavirus pandemic.

Akhtar believes that the series will benefit both parties because their long-term competition will cheer fans who lack cricket and attract a large audience.

He said: “If Virat (Kohli) scores 100, we will be happy; if Babar Azam (Babar Azam) scores 100, you will be happy. No matter what happens on the field, the two teams are all winners. ”

“You will definitely get a lot of opportunities to watch the game. The two countries will compete against each other for the first time. Any funds generated from this can be donated equally to the governments of India and Pakistan to fight this epidemic.”

He further stated that the two countries can engage in an imaginary series of battles on neutral grounds.

“Maybe not now, but when things start to improve, the competition can be organized in a neutral location like Dubai. Charter flights can be arranged, and he can host the competition.

He said: “This may even lead to the restoration of cricket relations between the two countries, and the diplomatic relations between the two countries may improve. You will never know.”
